Ryan L. Fox We all know that Halloween is the holiday that gives out the most candy. But a close second behind that is Easter. Yes, the springtime holiday is the time of the year where sweet tooth enthusiast can indulge themselves in chocolaty, sugary treats varying from a simple chocolate egg to mountains upon mountain of marshmallow treats. As we get closer and closer to the Easter holiday, it makes you wonder which Easter candy is the best candy out there. Which candy is the sweet treat that is most desired? 5. JellybeansWant a quick treat that’s not chocolate or marshmallow based on Easter and on the fruitier side? Say no more. These little bite-sized candies come in a multitude of flavors and are available everywhere. The best quality jellybeans are Jelly Belly, which seem to come in every single flavor imaginable. So if you want to a step back from all the chocolate, just grab a hand full of jelly beans and munch till your heart's content. 4. PeepsThe best way to describe Peeps is simply sugar covered in more sugar. These little marshmallow delights seem to just come out during the ‘Easter Season’ and they come out in droves. Whether it’s in pink, purple, sky blue, or the traditional yellow, bird-shaped or rabbit-shaped, nothing says Easter like trying to cram as many peeps into your mouth and then trying to speak afterwards. Just be sure to chew these guys before you swallow. 3. Reese's Pieces/Peanut Butter CupsYou can never go wrong with a Reese's Pieces or a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup at any time of the year. But for some odd reason, they seem to taste just a little bit better around this time of the year than compared to any other time. Maybe it’s something the mix into the chocolate. Maybe it’s the design and shapes of each Reese's candy. Whatever the case maybe, the peanut butter and chocolatey goodness tickle anybody’s palate salivate and is a solid go-to fill your Easter basket. 2. Chocolate Easter Eggs/Cadburry Creme EggsPerhaps one of the main staples of Easter sugary treats. They come in all different shapes and sizes. Sometimes they are whole chocolates, sometimes they are filled with nougat or caramel, sometimes they are wafers. You never know. But the more famous kind of the chocolate Easter eggs are the world-renowned Cadbury Crème Eggs. you combine a light crème inside mixed with milk chocolate coverings to create a sweet little batter treat. These little guys are joined at the hip with the Easter holiday. In fact, really the only time you see Cadbury Eggs on the shelves is around Easter and then they are gone. 1. Chocolate BunnyHow amazing was it as a kid growing up around Easter time. You wake up, come downstairs, and see an Easter basket left to you by the Easter bunny (or Easter beagle if you’re Linus). But the piece de resistance wasn’t the Reese's pieces, jellybeans, peeps, or chocolate Easter eggs in the basket but the chocolate bunny instead. Normally coming in pretty much a rabbit shape (a duh), these guys were not just little miniature chocolates. Oh no, there is a reason why they’re so desirable. It's not because of the choccolate goodness (plus whatever hard candy decoration might be on them). Rather they can come in any size that your little heart desires. Want a small 3-inch chocolate bunny? You got it! Want a semi-solid 3-foot chocolate bunny? You got it! And let’s be honest, the best part about getting a giant chocolate-shaped rabbit was how you ate it. Almost instinctively the first chomp was right on the head as you giggled like a little psychopath (I'm kidding folks). Like Cadbury eggs, chocolate bunnies are plentiful really around Easter so you better scoop one fast for your Easter basket before they are all gone. Read More 990WBOB |
