By Wildside Clyde O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming. Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? The Star-Spangled Banner —Francis Scott Key, 1814 I want to wish a Happy Independence Day to everyone and I want to thank all current enlisted military and retired vets for their service answering the call of duty to keep America Free. Independence Day represents our Countries Freedom from a suppressing British Government who imposed high Taxes on everyday goods and imposed Tyranny on the Colonist. The result was the birth ot the United States of America and unlike Michelle Obama with her famous quote " for the first time I'm proud to be an American" , I always have been proud and Thanked God that I was born American.
