Is this recent surge from the Bruins fleeting or is this the new Bruins that we should come to know? With the Bruins new interim Head Coach Bruce Cassidy, everything seems on the up and up. After taking over the helm, the Bruins are 5 - 1. After firing the all time winningest coach in Bruins history.
Claude Julian was immediately picked up by his former team the Montreal Canadiens. Whether it was to stoke the fire of the once storied rivalry between the two teams or whether it was a move the Habs desperately needed to make. Has yet to be seen. Some of these thoughts are warranted however. Keep in mind that the Bruins haven't been to the playoffs in two years and another year without going could mean a complete organizational "shake up". Regardless, of how the team is playing now. The team is on a substantial crash course with destiny. Make the playoffs and see another day. Or don’t and face the wrath of the die-hard Bruins fan base.
