Newly Designed Website Helps Rhode Islanders Track Proposed Law Amendments

Rhode Island House Speaker Nicholas A. Mattiello today announced the launch of the newly designed General Laws Section List - Public Law Amendments website enabling citizens to better track proposed amendments to Rhode Island Laws.

“Each year, bills are introduced that create or amend Rhode Island General Laws. Each one of these bills can affect multiple areas of the law, making it difficult for the public to track. By making this website more user friendly, we can help ensure that the public has real-time updates,” Speaker Mattiello said.

Located on the General Assembly Law Revision website, the General Laws Section List lists every bill; the section of the law it creates or amends; a link to the bill; and the public law chapter number if it passes. The new, user-friendly website now allows citizens to search by title, chapter, or bill number.
