Pants on Fire: Fung Attack Ad Features False Claims

The allegation from Alan Fung that his GOP adversary "supports Obamacare" has received a Pants on Fire rating from PolitiFact RI. 

Last week,  Fung threw his first major punch in the Race for the GOP nomination for Governor against Ken Block.  In a television ad, the Fung Campaign portrayed his opponent's supporters as "Blockheads" who then proceed to rattle off a series of derogatory "facts" about Block.

One of those facts featured a Blockhead proclamation of "Block supports Obamacare," which upon request of Block campaign manager Jeff Britt, was reviewed by PolitiFact RI who determined was a completely untrue statement.

While Block was once a supporter of the Affordable Care Act's promises, he has made it abundantly clear that he no longer supports the system as it is currently executed.
