I like to fancy myself somewhat of an amateur photographer. It's something that I have dabbled in from time to time. Although I can snap a photo and generally have a good eye, I have always had a hard time editing my shots. In the past, I've tried both Photoshop and Lightroom, which I found difficult to use and at times, frustrating. While I'm well aware that those two applications are the professional standard for editing photos, I've always felt a little out of my element while using them. That being said, my photos do require an editing tool that is superior to the one that my laptop comes with. Luckily, I recently came across FotoJet, an all-in-one and easy to use online photo editing tool.
Although I needed to watch countless YouTube videos to use Photoshop (and not well I might add), I found FotoJet extremely user-friendly and not overwhelming at all. FotoJet offers a wide variety of applications aside from just sprucing up a photo. In fact, FotoJet essentially allows you to be a graphic designer creating collages, posters, invitations, thank you cards and much more.
Collages As someone that only has minimal experience in editing digital photos, I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try my hand at a collage. Despite being my first collage (aside from the magazine collages I made as a kid), the process was simple and even a little fun. I kept it simple, but FotoJet allows you to get more advanced. In fact, you can choose from dozens of templates ranging from poster, photo cards, magazine covers and a cool comic book panel template. I had some fun with the collage and uploaded a picture of my cat. I used one of the many magazine templates that FotoJet offers, edited some text and voila.
Design
In addition to the Collage tool, FotoJet also features a nifty Design tool, which allows you to create posters, flyers, thank you cards, and social media banners. The options are really endless here. Since my 30th birthday just past, I designed an invitation for the birthday bash I didn't have. I selected a birthday template and edited the text to make it my own. It was quick and easy and literally took five minutes.
Photo Editing
So you can make endless collages and flex your graphic design muscles, but what about photo editing? When it comes to editing tools, FotoJet does not disappoint. I spent over an hour uploading photos and was quite impressed with all editing options that FotoJet offers. Aside from basic functions like cropping, resizing, and adjusting color and exposure, Fotojet also has advanced features like sharpening, de-hazing, color splash, and noise adjustment. You can also add text, clip art or frames to your photo. In my opinion, I found the "effects" option to be the most enjoyable. This feature allowed me to literally create dozens of different versions of a single photo with just one click. The Verdict
As I previously stated, I'm a novice when it comes to editing photos and after a couple hours of playing around with FotoJet, I felt like I had developed quite an expertise with the photo editing website. Not only is FotoJet easy to use, the quality is quite impressive. As you can see with the landscape images above, FotoJet is not your ordinary online photo editor, it's a sophisticated tool that allows you to produce quality and professional looking images. And what's more, it offers a plethora of collage and design options. So whether you're in need of a photo editor, collage maker, or photo design tool, give FotoJet a try.
