Low voter turnout was the big story in Rhode Island's 2014 Midterm Election, that is until the ballots were tallied, revealing a near-sweep for the state's Democratic Party candidates. Most notably, the Ocean State elected its first female governor following Gina Raimondo's victory over Cranston Mayor Allan Fung.
