RI Gas Prices Higher than National Average

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up one cent from last week, according to AAA Northeast. 

AAA’s July 6th survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.79 per gallon, up one cent from last week. Prices locally are six cents higher than a month ago. The current price is three cents more than the national average for regular unleaded of $2.76. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was 95 cents higher at $3.74.

The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 34 cents, from a low of $2.65 to a high of $2.99. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up- every trip, every time.
