Spy Games?

Snowden said this and Snowden said that.
Snowden said your wires are tapped.
Spain and France beware. 
Snowden is giving everyone a scare.

It appears at least according to former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, that not only is the NSA spying on us. They have also tapped the phones of millions of citizens of both France and Spain. 

However Gen Keith Alexander says otherwise. The current director of the National Security Agency claims that they have been for sometime working with the French And Spanish.  That they and other European intelligence agencies have combined forces on this project. That the US is merely sharing information with their European allies. 

“It represents information that we and our NATO allies have collected in defense of our countries and in support of military operations.” said Alexander.

Allow me to paraphrase. What the good general is really is telling the world is "yes we are spying on you but it's not just us, all of Europe is in on it. Oh and 911!" Once again the all powerful card of undefinable reasoning "terrorism" is played. The almighty excuse to reign governmental terror on our civil liberties.
