Ryan Fox As the year draws to a close, it’s time to reflect and think back about the events. One event that always draws me back and makes me think is none other than Boobstock. As a ‘Boobstock veteran,’ I have personally attended each event for the past 5 years and each time, I'm left speechless and in awe. When 990WBOB station manager, Adam Palazio, first drew up the idea back in 2009, there was a mixed reaction to the name. Some liked it while others thought using ‘Boob’ in a name was somewhat crude. However, the event was far from crude. At Firehouse #13, there was a good turnout for the first year. The people there were treated to local comedians, including an up and coming guy named Dan Martin, as well as great musicians such as Tony Jones and the Cretin 3, The Rice Cakes, and VJ Live. The event turned out to be such a success that the next year in 2010, Firehouse #13 hosted the 2nd 990WBOB Boobstock with the usual crowd tuning in and gaining new performers like King Sickabilly.
