The Buck Stopper: Hump Day Blues

Gasoline is $3.95 Per Gallon! 

Comedian James Creelman would remark that at its root, the price of gas is justified... it allows you to travel vast distances at a per-gallon rate much lower than that of apple cider.  That is quite true, but it is still an obnoxious budget killer.

I say this, because Wednesday, I needed to fuel up.  My budget of sixty dollars is dwindling, and the rising gas prices are not helping my cause.  I only added $10.00, which was good for approximately 2.4 gallons. So essentially, I can drive nearly 63 miles without refilling.

The Ten Dollar petrol purchase put me over my daily budget off the bat, so I had to cancel my dinner plan.  I intended on heading over to one of my favorite watering holes: Cuban Revolution.  They boast an extensive drink menu where all beers are either 2 or 3 bucks each, and they feature delicious 20-Cent Buffalo Wings from 5-10 PM.

Instead, I will have to settle for some breaded chicken breast, tossed salad, and aside of my grandma's famous tortellini... not a terrible consolation.
