By Wildside Clyde (@WIldSideClyde) During the Presidential debate between John McCain and Barrack Obama in 2008 McCain said to the then Senator regarding Obama's Foreign Policy about the Middle East "This is dangerous, it isn't just naive, it is dangerous." How true has this prediction now has become during the Civil War in Syria? Men, woman and children have been gassed to death! A civilized society cannot allow this act of evil! Those who are responsible have to arrested and hung in the gallows!
America should be talking to each of her allies as well as the UN; and work as a coalition to stop further killings of civilians and and investigate what has happened. If we fire missiles at Syria, Russia may fire upon our own Navy and I will tell you why. First: Syria is home to the sole remaining Russian naval base on the Mediterranean. Second: Russia has legitimate commercial interests in Syria. They are currently contracted to sell arms to Damascus which totals $5 billion in future potential revenue. Third: Several Russian companies have major investments in Syria's infrastructure, energy, and tourism sectors... investments valuing up to $20 billion. Fourth: In Libya, Russian leaders felt they were tricked into supporting a resolution to protect civilians, only to see it used to provide cover for airstrikes to overthrow Muammar Gadhafi. Fifth: Russia's greatest fear is the of spread of Islamic militancy and opium if NATO withdraws from Afghanistan. Sixth: Russia views the Muslim Brotherhood as an enemy as well as a threat. Obama embraces the Muslim Brotherhood as he did with Egypt. He supports the Brotherhood fighters; the ones who are fighting against Syria. Seventh: Putin and Obama hate each other Obama is playing a dangerous game of chicken with Putin over the Syria; a state which most Americans didn't know existed before the American Navy was deployed. The stakes are higher than ever with a potential WWIII looming with Russia. I believe it is in America's interest to pull our Navy back and not fire any warheads at Syria. No War in Syria! God Bless and Save America |
