Tom Stewart Project: Dropping a Deuce on Discriminatory Bathroom Laws

This week, Tom Stewart comes to us live... from his toilet?

In the latest installment of The Tom Stewart Project, the eponymous host takes a dump on the bathroom laws that have recently passed in several southern states. These laws, which seemingly target transgendered Americans, have created major problems for the states that passed them under the guise of "religious freedom."

​For instance, in North Carolina, the now famous HB-2 was signed into effect which states that individuals must use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender at birth -- and the backlash began almost immediately. PayPal cancelled its plans to build a new facility in Charlotte, thus eliminating 400 new jobs in the state. Rock legend Bruce Springsteen even got involved in the protest, cancelling a show last weekend in Greensboro in a show of solidarity. 

Tom examines two of the major problems with these laws that are supposed to guarantee safety to patrons in public restrooms:

1. How will these laws be enforced? Will we need bathroom bouncers to examine everyone's birth certificates and genitals to verify they match?
   
2. There have been ZERO instances of transgendered persons committing sexual crimes in public restrooms in American history.
