This week, Tom Stewart comes to us live... from his toilet?
In the latest installment of The Tom Stewart Project, the eponymous host takes a dump on the bathroom laws that have recently passed in several southern states. These laws, which seemingly target transgendered Americans, have created major problems for the states that passed them under the guise of "religious freedom."
For instance, in North Carolina, the now famous HB-2 was signed into effect which states that individuals must use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender at birth -- and the backlash began almost immediately. PayPal cancelled its plans to build a new facility in Charlotte, thus eliminating 400 new jobs in the state. Rock legend Bruce Springsteen even got involved in the protest, cancelling a show last weekend in Greensboro in a show of solidarity.
