Relentless touring has been standard operating procedure for the Koffin Kats ever since the band kicked things off in the summer of 2003. Now, with over a dozen years on the road and thousands of live performances under their belts, the band is showing no signs of slowing down.

Tony Jones: Tell us about the current tour, what can those who attend the upcoming gig expect?
Vic Victor: We're having a blast. But, we always have a good time out on the road, through thick and thin. Which is why we've been doing it for so long. We're looking forward to the party.

Tony Jones: You have Tommy Koffin back in the band. What’s that been like?
Vic Victor: The van smells worse now. But it's good to have him back on stage. He and I started this whole mess, he gets what this band has always been about. So it's good to have that element back in the band.

Tony Jones: What keeps bringing you back to touring?
Vic Victor: Two reasons. It's great to bring our music to friends/fans new and old. And it's also how we make a living.

Tony Jones: How do you prepare for a tour?
Vic Victor: We work together in a screen print & embroidery shop we own almost everyday. So it's like we never leave the road with seeing each other way too much. (ha ha) We have a rehearsal area in the shop, as well as a liquor store next door. Party time and music is never too far away.

Tony Jones: The Koffin Kats have developed a reputation for being one of the hardest working bands around, where does that work ethic come from?
Vic Victor: It's pretty much all we know how to do. We've committed a good chunk of our lives to this band. The last thing we want to do is watch it fade away by being inactive.

Tony Jones: Did you expect all the support you’ve received throughout the years when you first started?
Vic Victor: Absolutely not. And it's something we never take for granted. We are forever grateful for the love we have gotten from folks over the years. It drives us and we will continue to thank people by hitting the road and releasing music as much as possible.

Tony Jones: Do you have any musical influences that people might be surprised by?
Vic Victor: I listen to a lot of Faith No More and The Cult. Waylay Jennings is my country music hero.

Tony Jones: What does the future hold for the Koffin Kats?
Vic Victor: We have a lot more work to do. No slowing down for us. More albums and more tours

The Koffin Kats bring the tour to The Cove Music Hall in Worcester, MA on Friday, August 18th along Argyle Goolsby & The Roving Midnight, The Evil Streaks and Tony Jones & The Cretin 3, tickets are available at www.thecovemusichall.com
