Americans love their rage. And rageful Americans love to protest.
While the First Amendment defends the right to protest for all Americans, many of us are doing it wrong. The true value in a protest is to present a message that will draw symapthy and support to one's cause -- however, when the protests are targeted toward the general public, toward those who could potentially further your cause, you've done nothing but shoot your cause in the foot.
