This week on The Tom Stewart Project, Tom takes on the fear-mongering media who have turned terrorists into America's paranoia du jour.  This is not an issue isolated to the middle east, but rather an international crisis that will not solve itself.

He reminds us that these refugees are innocent people, many are women and children, struggling to flee from the same terror that we are so concerned with, but these fellow humans -- unlike us -- are not half a world away from the violence, it is happening in their back yards. 

But what if there are terrorists?! What if the floor is actually lava?! What if stepping on a crack really does break my mother's back?!

Tom takes a humorous approach to take on a very serious topic. He also reminds us of some details that aren't being reported amid the paranoia.

"The process to enter the U.S. as a refugee actually takes up to 2 years ... they don't just drop them off at a bus stop like old ladies at a casino."
