Allan Giberti “Once upon a time there were three women who were sent to Washington, D.C. They were charged with very important duties. But liberalism took them away from all that and now I have to work with them. My name is Charlie.” “Good Morning Angels” I’ve never been a fan of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). He’s always reminded me of the shifty-eyed, hypocritical, sniveling kid in school, who’s only way to endear teachers to him was by ratting out everyone but himself. 2019 has been challenging for the first New Yorker, as well as the first Jewish person, to serve as Senate leader, but in ways I’m sure he never would have imagined. Yes, his and Nancy Pelosi’s now infamous rebuttal to President Trump will only be remembered in memes, and his description of President Trump’s State of the Union as being “political, divisive, calculating and even nasty,” was painfully wrong as 76% of Americans who viewed it approved of the Address. Not to mention that the President’s Approval rating has reached 52%. As Chuck doubled down on the “manufactured crisis” narrative, Angel Families rallied outside the Capitol building last Wednesday, paid a visit to the Senator’s office and then shared their stories of family members who were killed by illegal immigrants with his staff. It’s no longer politics as usual. The rules have changed. It was hard enough battling the Republicans, but what happens when you have to fight a two-front war? The Democrats were unable to win back the Senate, but what did they get when they took back the House? Nancy Pelosi’s approval rating is understandably at a 10 year low, well below that of President Trump. It was uncertain she would even make Speaker and face it, Nancy’s agenda has always been her own. She is unwilling and unable to rein in what the Democrat Party has created and it will rip the party apart. Chuck’s biggest problems are coming from within. “When a cow laughs, does milk come out her nose?” Democrat Socialist (whatever that is) Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) presented her “Green New Deal” legislation and more than 60 House Democrats happily jumped on to the crazy train. Within twenty-four hours virtually all the Democrats running in 2020, Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Kamala Harris (D-CA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), , Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) signed onto it. Now Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wants to bring the bill to a vote to not just expose how far to the left the Democrats have gone, but to expose those who are embracing socialism. Schumer of course criticized McConnell for calling a vote, and then decided to call his bluff by saying “bring it on” in order to see if the Republicans care about climate change. Too bad the bill isn’t about climate change. I’m all for seeing who’s running on the Socialist ticket in 2020. AOC’s most recent slip up was forcing Amazon to scrap its plans to build a headquarters in New York and costing 25,000 jobs. While I thought the whole “incentives deal” was obscene, the New York Democrats loved everything about it. Amazon’s reason for leaving? Democrat Socialist pressure for Amazon NOT to cooperate with ICE. She’s proud of her colleagues, Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. Nuff said. “Like a bull in a china shop.” On Sunday night Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) tweeted it’s “All about the Benjamins” suggesting the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) paid members of Congress to support Israel. The backlash was swift, with Chelsea Clinton lobbing the first volley. Nancy Pelosi, other members of the House Democrat leadership condemned her remarks and called for her to apologize, which she half did. Then Omar reworded the initial tweet and did it again. Then there was that embarrassing and cringeworthy display where she showcased her virtue signalling ignorance and attacked Special Envoy on Venezuela, Elliott Abrams in a House Foreign Affairs Committee session. Sen. Schumer condemned Omar’s anti-Semitic remarks and stated, “This kind of intolerance has no place in Congress or anywhere in American society. No one should invoke anti-Semitic tropes during policy disagreements.” This isn’t the first time Ilhan Omar has expressed anti-Semitic views. She opposes Israel as a state and supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel and made statements back in 2012 accusing the Jewish state of “evil doings” and “hypnotizing the world.” She’s not not the only one who’s been caught up in an anti-Semitic scandal. “Deja Moo - That feeling you've heard this bull before.” You remember Democrat Socialist (again, whatever the hell that’s supposed to be) Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) don’t you? She’s the one who on her first day of Congress was filmed saying, “We’re gonna impeach the motherf****r!” Nancy defended Tlaib, although she poo-pooed the language. Why can I picture her saying things that would make a sailor blush? In 2006, Tlaib wrote for known anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam newspaper. The same Louis Farrakhan who has compared the Jewish people to “termites” on multiple occasions. In the article, she whined on about ending the deportation of illegal aliens for what she felt were “minor offenses,” and calling for legislation that would protect them. I could get on board with that depending on if the “minor offenses” were in fact minor, and as long as we prosecute them for the crime of coming here illegally in the first place. Of course, that would also carry a mandatory punishment of immediate deportation. She had tweeted her support about a visit from Islamic Relief, a designated terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates, to Detroit. She practically accused Sen. Kamala Harris of racism for meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. She frequently retweets prominent BDS activist, Ahmad Abuzbaid and she is supported by Linda Sarsour. On January 6th she tweeted, “They forgot what country they represent. This is the U.S. where boycotting is a right & part of our historical fight for freedom & equality. Maybe a refresher on our U.S. Constitution is in order, then get back to opening up our government instead of taking our rights away. Not good Rashida, you may need a refresher on history, but we don’t. These are similar to the tactics used by Nazis and communists to disprove their loyalty and. Just like Ilhan Omar, she implies that Jews buy politicians. Tlaib is so far out there that even the George Soros-backed J Street withdrew its endorsement of her campaign. That says a lot. So as the Democrat controlled US House tears itself apart between the left and the far left, all the while, Nancy is still fighting for the old agenda, focused only on the old politics of “Trump must not win again.” Cryin’ Chuck, on the other hand, by 2020 will have earned his nickname as he watches his party campaign in 2020 on a platform of socialism, taxes, infanticide and open borders. I’m not a financial advisor, but there’s going to be a shortage of popcorn because you know this is going to be one long, drawn out train wreck. Holy cow Batman. Read More 990WBOB |
