WORCESTER, MA – Fans have their first opportunity to sign up for Worcester Red Sox Season Tickets for their inaugural season at Polar Park starting this Monday, August 19, at 10 a.m. atpolarpark.com, or by calling (401) 724-7300, or by visiting McCoy Stadium during business hours (1 Columbus Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02860). Fans can also visit the Mercantile Center in Worcester, 100 Front Street for a sneak preview presentation Saturday, August 17, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A deposit of 25% for Year One will secure the season tickets and establish priority in location. The remainder of the amount will be due in 2020. The new home of Boston’s Triple-A affiliate is scheduled to open in Worcester’s resurgent Canal District in April, 2021. Pawtucket Red Sox Season Ticket Holders and members of the Worcester Red Sox Booster Club will have top priority. Fans can join the booster club now by visiting polarpark.com. Only six of approximately 20 different ticket categories at Polar Park are being made available on a season ticket basis. These tickets, when purchased on an “Early Bird” season basis in 2019, start at $11 per game. Triple-A clubs play a 70-game regular-season home schedule. Single game tickets, which will go on sale in the future, will start with “Yaz Tickets” ($8) for children, students, seniors, and active military personnel, and “Teddy Ballgame Tickets” ($9) for General Admission. The club will cap the number of season tickets to ensure that fans who cannot purchase 70-game plans have broad access to numerous ballpark seating options. The club will also shift a portion of ticket proceeds to the City of Worcester, to be used as “facility fees” to build and maintain the ballpark. PawSox Season Ticket Holders have first priority to select “Early Bird” season tickets, followed in order by Worcester Red Sox Booster Club Hall of Fame Members; All-Stars; and Lead-Off Hitters. The Teammates, the free tier, will be invited to participate thereafter. There is no fee to become a member of the Worcester Red Sox Booster Club. Details are at polarpark.com. The six categories of season tickets on sale are the following: Season Ticket Total Price Cost of Price Per Game* For a Season 25% Deposit
“These six categories, which offer special amenities and better proximity to the game, are only a few of the many categories we will offer at Polar Park,” said Club President Dr. Charles A. Steinberg. “Many seating areas will have particular benefits, such as food, drink, and parking options, and such benefits will be determined as we get closer to the opening of the ballpark. “We will have as many as 20 seating options to help welcome fans from all socio-economic levels and backgrounds. That is a basic tenet of Minor League Baseball and the bedrock of this franchise. With ‘Yaz Tickets’ and ‘Teddy Ballgame Tickets,’ we will preserve ‘affordable family entertainment,’ with some premium options for those who would like them.” Third Base Reserved: These seats are the first two sections of the seating bowl, starting with the front row at the field, just to the left field side of the Visitors’ Dugout. Home Plate Field Box: These seats are located directly behind Home Plate and will include special concessions services. Dugout Seats: These premium seats, the first two rows from First Base to Third Base, are the most intimate in the ballpark. They include both in-seat wait service and full membership in the DCU Club, a climate-controlled environment with a host of unique amenities on the Club Level. DCU Club Seats: These ultra-premium seats are the six rows of seats on the Club Level, immediately outside the DCU Club, ranging from First Base to Third Base. They are elevated and include in-seat wait service, as well as immediate proximity and access to the climate-controlled DCU Club, including full membership. (These seats, along with the Dugout Seats, are likely to be perceived as the “best seats in the house.”) More ticket categories, ticket purchase options, food and beverage options, and parking options will be announced in the future as the ballpark design is completed; however, securing season tickets now ensures greater choice, higher priority, and “Early Bird” pricing.
