Taste Test: The Last Dab Carolina Reaper Edition

In the world of YouTube, there are many food fads, and trends. This week, we take a look at the good, bad, and the spicy.

From the YouTube Hit series “Hot Ones” presented by First we Feast, we try “The Last Dab redux” Caroline reaper edition.

Now, before we jump in the fire, we have to give honorable mentions to the lighter hot sauces that I have tried from Hot Ones. Lower on the heat scale we try “The Classic” which is a nice and clear chile taste with no pain, for all of our less sadistic friends out there. For me, I am a fan of spicy food so in terms of flavor, I give this one a 4 out of 5. If were talking spice lets call it a 2 out of 10.

The second hot sauce from the guys at Hot Ones, was titled “Los Calientes”. I will be honest, this one was my favorite that I have tried. Now this is a Habanero verde sauce, with a tremendous amount of garlic flavors as well. With flavor this one gets a 5 out of 5 for me, this is also when we get to pick up the pain a little bit and I would clock in the spice meter at about a 5 out of 10.

This is for the folks out there who don’t want to taste their food, and just like to torture themselves quite frankly. The Last Dab Redux is a hot sauce with a Carolina reaper base, one of the hottest peppers out there. Upon eating this hot sauce, you will feel nothing. There will be no pain and everything will be right in the world, or so you thought. Then Gradually, this sauce will start to rip apart your mouth from the surface and get hotter and hotter until it eventually gets numb. In terms of flavor, I would give this sauce a 3 out of 10 and in terms of spice, we will definitely be ranking this at 9 out of 10. 

While hot sauce is a delicious staple for mostly any meal, The Last Dab is proof for the true believers, that food doesn’t need to be enjoyable.
